Draft a random set, build your deck and try to become the Pro Tour champion.

How to play

The game

Drafter is a Limited tournament simulator. Open your boosters, pick your cards, build your deck and reach the top!

Set of the day

Every day a Magic set (from Fourth Edition onward) is chosen at random. The three draft boosters are from that set, and it is the same for all players.

Draft

Each booster has the set's composition, without the basic land: 14 cards in sets with a 15-card booster and 13 in sets with Play Boosters (from 2024 onward). Pick a card and pass the rest along; you receive your neighbor's booster with one card fewer. The 1st and 3rd boosters pass to the left and the 2nd to the right.

Deck

Choose 23 of the cards you picked. Basic lands are added automatically, in proportion to the deck's colors. Here the cards' ratings are shown. The deck rating is the average of two scores: the average of the cards and the consistency. Consistency starts at 100 and loses points for building "mistakes", among them: too few creatures, too few cheap creatures, cards that cost too much, too little removal, too many double-cost cards in the secondary color and too many support cards.

Tournament

64 players and 3 days, always best-of-three. On the first day there are 8 rounds, the first three against the opponents at your table and the others in Swiss rounds, against players with the same record. Those with 4 wins or more play 8 more rounds the next day. The top 8 in the standings play the Top 8 (quarterfinals, semifinals and finals). The standings are updated after every round (3 points per win; ties are broken by opponents' match-win percentage). Reveal the matches one by one or turn on auto mode.
