How to play

Goal

Find today's commander in up to 8 guesses. Remember that commanders are Legendary Creatures. A new commander appears every day.

How to guess

Type the name of a legendary creature and pick it from the list. Each guess is compared with the answer across eight columns: Name initial, Colors, Mana value, Type, Rarity, Year, P/T and the commander's EDHREC rank.

Hints

Green: same as the answer. Yellow: partially the same (some color in common, some subtype in common, or only the power or the toughness is right). Red: different.

Arrows

In the Initial column, ◀ means the answer's initial comes before your guess in the alphabet, and ▶ means it comes after. In the other columns, ▲ means the answer's value is higher than your guess, and ▼ means it is lower. In P/T, power and toughness each get their own arrow. A card with no rank shows "—". The year is that of the card's first printing.

Accepted cards

The search accepts any legendary creature that is legal in Commander. The answer of the day comes from the top 1,000 of the commander ranking according to EDHREC.
